In the darkest days of the Second World War, Saint Maximilian Kolbe became a witness to heroic charity, freely offering his life in place of another prisoner at Auschwitz. This bar is a tribute to that extraordinary act of sacrificial love — steadfast, humble, and enduring. The rugged scent of balsam fir, invigorating rosemary, and reverent frankincense evokes the forests of Poland, the discipline of the friary, and the courage of a man who gave everything for Christ and neighbor.
Handcrafted with grass-fed tallow for deep nourishment, this 6oz XL bar uses a base of grass-fed tallow, coconut oil, and organic extra virgin olive oil to create a rich, creamy lather. Kaolin clay offers a silky finish, leaving the skin soft and refreshed. This is more than soap — it's a daily reminder that true greatness is found in service, sacrifice, and fidelity to God.
The Story:
Saint Maximilian Kolbe was a Polish Franciscan priest, missionary, and founder of the Militia Immaculatae, dedicated to spreading devotion to Our Lady. Imprisoned at Auschwitz during World War II, he volunteered to take the place of a husband and father who had been condemned to death. His heroic sacrifice became one of the most powerful examples of Christian charity in modern history, and he is remembered as a martyr of love.
